The ROTAIO disc prosthesis is a replacement for the disc that is removed. It is designed to maintain mobility between the cervical vertebral bodies to which it is fi xed. In addition, by using an artifi cial disc it is possible to achieve the natural curve of the cervical spine and maintain the natural gap between the a_ ected vertebral bodies. This ensures normal cervical spine function as far as possible and prevents wear caused by excessive stress on the adjacent vertebral bodies.
